Volunteers
are essential to the well being of this ministry. We appreciate your
willingness to give your time and talent. We will do all we can to
make your volunteer experience meaningful and enjoyable. Completion of
a PCC volunteer application and an interview are required before taking
our Basic Volunteer Training.
This female volunteer must complete the PCC Basic Volunteer Training and must be at least 26 years of age. A minimum of 3 months in-service training is required before working one on one with PCC clients. Day time counselor shifts are from 8:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 12:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The night time shifts are from 5:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. The volunteer commitment is for the same day and time each week, once a week.
Requirements for volunteering are the same as for Peer Counselors. All STD screening volunteers must be registered nurses or licensed practical nurses to meet with PCC clients for results of screening as well as education on the health risks of STD's. The time commitment is the same as for a Peer Counselor.
This person must complete the PCC Basic Volunteer Training and must be at least 24 years of age. In-service training is required before working with Learn 2 Earn groups and individuals. Learn 2 Earn Instructors guide teens and women through viewing and reading materials as well as provide encouragement both during the pregnancy and after delivery. Learn 2 Earn Instructor shifts are from 8:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 12:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The night time shifts are from 5:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. The volunteer commitment is for the same day and time each week, once a week.
The person must complete the PCC Basic Volunteer Training and must be at least 26 years of age. A period of in-service training is required before greeting clients at the Center and performing simple administrative tasks. Receptionist shifts are from 8:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 12:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The volunteer commitment is for the same day and time each week, once a week.
This person must complete the PCC Basic Volunteer Training with additional training with Christian curriculum and must be at least 28 years of age. Must have experience with infants 0-1 year of age and be knowledgeable in newborn care, feeding, first aide and safety, infant development and parenting skills. The volunteer should be spiritually mature and able to provide group instruction.
Using our Christian 24/7 Dad curriculum, this ministry provides group instruction that focuses on characteristics that every father needs and covers the universal aspects of fatherhood skills physically, emotionally and spiritually. Helps fathers to strengthen relationships, develop effective strategies and balance commitments. Must be a spiritually mature man and able to provide group instruction. The PCC Basic Volunteer Training is required.
This volunteer sorts and organizes maternity and baby items, mends and/or washes items as needed. The shifts are from 8:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 12:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The volunteer commitment is for the same day and time each week, once a week.
This volunteer helps on special projects as needed.
This volunteer serves as a contact person in their church, informing members of needs and service opportunities at the PCC.
This person serves once or twice per month on Tuesday or Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. to assist clients and volunteers entering and leaving the building. Also, must maintain an awareness of any unusual activity on the premises and take proper action, if needed.
